Vestiges of a Former Neighbourhood – from the author’s window

A house integrated into the former William Dow mansion on Brother André Square, one of only a handful of buildings of the former Little Dublin which remain standing today. Little Dublin, located at the top of Beaver Hall Hill, was for a while the home of the Anglo and Scotch-Irish merchant class, strategically anticipating the relocation of retail operations to Ste-Catherine’s Street.
